It's The Thought That Counts

While we were traveling this summer, Togo proved that he was a little young to be by himself. (more on that later) So he went to my friend Louanne's to be babysat.
Then, a stray dog started harassing our sheep.
Sometimes donkeys will attack dogs so our neighbors lent us theirs to try and deter him. The donkey's were happy to hang out and visit with the sheep but actually were not the least bit threatening to the stray dog.
That's ok. When you are this cute, you don't actually have to be functional. Now that Scott, Togo and I are back, we can defend our flock so our adorable, but useless helpers went home.

You should steal one of my horses!!

Emmy, the old Arab, nabbed a coyote who was chasing *her lamb" and removed it's tail. It avoids our farm now.

The other Arab, Emma likes to pound the coyotes into the ground. Haven't lost a sheep when the horss are with them.

The one usless llama just watched the coyote take a lamb....she will be looking for a new home.

It's a neverending process trying to find a good sheep protector!!

Gallo, the usefull llama will charge a dog and try to stamp into the ground.
