She sure is a beauty.

Turning their head away, as you know, is a calming signal dogs use in stressful situations. Many people speculate that having a camera pointed at them with a person's face right behind it as well feels much like a direct stare to a dog. Hence they try to diffuse the situation by turning away.

Actually, she'll usually look at me, just with her ears pinned back. The only way I can get a picture with her ears up is if she thinks there's something she hears in the distance that needs an ass kicking and then she's not looking at the camera!:)
But you are right, she gets nervous when I'm looking through the camera at her and she often rolls on her back.

Your one good looking dog, no reason to be camera shy!

If dogs interpret the camera pointing at them to be like staring at them, then most of mine must like the challenge. I pull out a camera and they cock their heads and smile!
